Instagram, one of the most used social networking applications with over 1 billion users worldwide, has taken another step towards concretizing its policy on likes. Instagram management, which wants to completely eliminate likes, has started testing the feature of hiding likes in the USA.
According to Al Jazeera, work has begun in the US for Instagram without likes, after tests have been ongoing in Canada, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Brazil, Australia and New Zealand since April.
Speaking on the subject, Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri said that their goal is to make the platform much less competitive. Mosseri said that users can see how many people liked the photos they share on the TES version of Instagram, but they cannot see the number of likes on photos shared by others.
It is stated that the fact that Instagram started this test in the USA shows how serious its intentions are on this issue.

On the other hand, in the test version, follower numbers will be located in a separate section with statistics, not under the user profile as in the current version.
